Stacy Nicholson is an author, poet and humanitarian. Born to hardworking farmers in rural Bosnia, a former Yugoslavian Republic, Nicholson moved to Australia in 2002 as a war refugee. There she obtained a degree in Library Information Services and went on to build a successful career in Library Services, working at some of the most renowned libraries in Victoria.

She first became known for her romantic poetry with the book Stay With Me, but it did not take long for her writing in other genres to become equally popular and loved. In general, her writing has been described as reflections of on universal human experiences, feelings that describe from the full range of human emotions, from awe to wonder and tenderness, from agony to ecstasy.

Nicholson takes pride in writing about different topics and reflecting on the current state of the world and humanity. She is particularly passionate about raising awareness about mental health and anti bullying awareness through her writing, and she hopes to promote understanding of these issues that affects so many, especially young people. This is why she is called an author for the new generation.

She has written three books: A poetry book, Stay With Me published in 2021.Her autobiography, Colour of My Heart and second poetry book Mystic River both published in 2022. She is fluent in two languages: Bosnian and English.

Nicholson currently resides in Melbourne, Australia.
